Now moved to 15th May. 2021. We meet at the Rose and Crown and end up there. The pub serves food all day on Saturdays and if people fancy it there is a formal afternoon tea served until five but that needs at least 48 hours advance booking. Just google Rose and Crown Thurnby if you want to have a look at the menu.
Thurnby and Bushby have many intertesting buildings and a fascinating history.
Cynthia Brown, who grew up in Bushby, is one of Leicester's leading local historians. She has written a number of books and is well known as a lecturer and guide. She is a vice president of the Liecester Group of the Victorian Society and was a founder of the HLF funded East Midlands Oral History Archive.
